Orthognatic Surgery

Orthognatic surgery is a procedure that corrects bad positioning and size of the jaws when a Dentofacial Anomaly exists. Is usually done after a careful examination (x-rays, CT scans, dental scans, photographs) to identify the type of anomaly and select the specific surgical procedure that the patient needs. It is done side by side with orthodontics to help align and level teeth before jaw bones are moved.
